On June 6th, the French Healthcare Alliance (FHA) held its 13th plenary meeting in Guangzhou. This year edition was the occasion to review the latest trends of the market, deep dive in the Greater Bay Area opportunities for Healthcare and provide a place to interact between actors of the same industry. More than a hundred of participants joined the French Healthcare Alliance’s events on that day, representing a wide range of health-related companies, along with institutions and healthcare practitioners.
Mr. Sylvain FOURRIERE, French Consul General in Canton, opened the plenary session. He highlighted the dynamism of the French Healthcare Alliance and wished a great success to the coming events.
French Healthcare Alliance’s co-president Mr. Olivier DESSAJAN (Colisée group), Mr. Romain JACQUET (French Embassy in Beijing, China) and Mr. Alexandre EA (Business France) gave a brief overview of the Alliance’s activities and upcoming activities during this special year marking the 60th anniversary of the establishment of China-France diplomatic ties.
The first session was an introduction by Mr. Camille BORTOLINI (Economic Affairs, French Embassy in Beijing, China) about Chinese general economy and market.
The next session was a roundtable, focused on Challenges and opportunities of Greater Bay Area for Healthcare. Moderated by Mr. Eric BOUTEILLER (CEIBS Professor, JUMO PARTNERS co-founder), it gathered speakers from the French Chamber of Commerce and Industry in China (Mr. Fabien PACORY, Vice President of CCIFC), COLISEE (Mr. Olivier DESSAJAN) and SANOFI (Ms. Linda WANG). Each company presented and discussed about the Greater Bay Area: Biotech and Aging ecosystems, Vaccine innovation.
The second roundtable, moderated by Mr. Philippe OBRY (AKILA CARE Vice President), was dedicated to Technology Gamechangers of Healthcare. Speakers from Legrand Shanghai (Mr. Jonathan KAZINSKI), E-Health Now (Ms. Kelly XU) and BIOMERIEUX (Ms. Joyce LI) discussed about the topic.
Before the conclusion by Mr. Romain JACQUET, the French Healthcare Alliance announced the election of its industry Co-President: Mr. Olivier DESSAJAN. Warm congratulations for this mandate renewal and a wish of great success for the coming years.

In the afternoon, the FHA also organized a delegation to visit two impressive companies from GBA: Guangzhou Pharma (biggest pharmaceutical warehouse in the world) and Guangzhou Concord Cancer Hospital (innovative & high equipped hospital).
