On September 13, 2024, Business France and the French Healthcare Alliance organized the 9th Franco-Chinese Medical Day, on the sidelines of the China International Trade in Services Exhibition (CIFTIS) in Beijing, where France was the guest country of honor. This high-level event, which takes place every year in a different Chinese city, brings together not only the French member companies of the French Healthcare Alliance, but also institutional representatives, experts and companies from the healthcare sector around a specific theme.
The FHA China is currently actively proposing healthcare events, with this Franco-Chinese Medical Day and a conference in Paris coming soon: Opportunities and risk control on China’s healthcare markets, in Business France Paris, on Oct 9th 2025.
This year's event, which happened during the year celebrating the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between France and China, was organized with the support of China's National Health Commission. It brought together over 230 Chinese and French experts. The event was opened by Ms. Myriam PAVAGEAU, Minister-Counsellor of the French Embassy in China, and Mr. LIU Qian, President of the Chinese Hospital Association. The plenary session, devoted to “Health in the face of demographic challenges: prevention and innovation at all stages of life”, featured speeches by Ms. Catherine BARTHELEMY, President of the French Academy of Medicine, who had come specially from France for the event, and Mr. WANG Chen, President of the Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences. This event was held with the presence of 3 our Co-presidents: Mr. Olivier Dessajan (Colisée), Mr. Alexandre Ea (Business France), Mr. Romain Jacquet (Embassy of France in China), our Founder President Mr. Eric Bouteiller (CEIBS) and our new Vice President Mr. Florent De Kertanguy (Servier)
Three thematic conferences followed this plenary session:

- Franco-Chinese cooperation and innovative approaches to the prevention and treatment of respiratory diseases,
- Old age and aging
The day ended with a reception at the Residence of France in China, attended by Mr. Bertrand LORTHOLARY, Ambassador of France in China, who personally thanked the French and Chinese players for their collaboration, essential to strengthening Franco-Chinese relations.
