COVID-19 IMPACT ON THE CHINESE HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY - EVENT SUMMARY

On March 20th, Franck le Deu, Senior Partner, Mc Kinsey China Healthcare Practice, has presented his analysis on the short and long term impact of the epidemic on the Healthcare industry in China.

Disruption on hospital activity and supply have been significant during the last two months. But the situation is slowly coming back to normal. The in-depth research shows that businesses have been affected but are recovering fast. New trends are expected, like acceleration toward digitization, more pressure on policy makers to develop the health-care primary sector and bio-security, continuous pressure on cost containment and de-coupling in terms of technology between China and US. A major factor to monitor in this recovery process will be the impact of Covid-19 on the global economy and global healthcare companies.

It was the first on-line conference organized by this non-profit organization which enabled members to join from China and France.
