FRENCH HEALTH TECH TOUR CHINA 2017 – Event highlights
In September 2017, 14 French healthcare companies participated in the “French Health-Tech Tour China” (FHTTC), a partnering event aiming at developing partnerships between “China-ready” French biotech and medtech companies and leading Chinese pharma companies and investors.
The FHTTC was organized by Business France in partnership with the French Healthcare Alliance (FHA), the French Embassy in China, France Biotech, and supported by French VCs active in life sciences (Sofinnova), 2 leading French biotech clusters (Lyonbiopôle, Medicen) and also ANMPartners, bpifrance, Institut Pasteur Shanghai, Invest Corporate Finance, Jumo Group, LLR, Lyonbiopole, MaVie Technologies, Medicen, Osmunda, Simon Associes, Snitem.
The event included collective meetings in Shanghai on Sept. 25, which were attended by 27 Chinese companies (investors and industrial players) and 14 French biotech/medtech companies ranging from startups to large companies such as Sanofi, bioMérieux or Ipsen. In addition, Business France organized personalized B2B meetings in mainland China and Hong Kong from Sept. 26-29.
The FHTTC also included a Preparation Day in Paris on Sept. 7 which was attended by 65 French healthcare companies. Training and experience-sharing were on the menu with presentations by leading industry experts and members of the French Healthcare Alliance.
