The French Healthcare Alliance held its 5th plenary meeting in Beijing on January 26, 2018

The French Healthcare Alliance in China held its 5th plenary meeting on Jan. 26 at the French Embassy in Beijing. This event gathered 70 healthcare professionals working for over 50 French companies.

The event was opened by Mr. Jean-Maurice RIPERT, Ambassador of France to the People’s Republic of China, who reiterated that cooperation in the field of healthcare and elderly care is a priority of the Sino-French bilateral cooperation, and was once again highlighted by the French President Emmanuel Macron during his official visit to China earlier in January.

The plenary meeting introduced the French Healthcare Alliance’s Agenda for 2018 and provided a platform to share best practices and information to do business in China through presentations and networking sessions. Among the main discussed topics were recent regulatory changes impacting healthcare product registration, the evolution of the Chinese drug policy and the impact of Big data and of the digital revolution on the healthcare sector.

Participants also identified several ways forward to strengthen partnerships between French players active in China as well as to identify new synergies between companies’ needs and the extensive Sino-French institutional cooperation in the field of healthcare.
