THE FRENCH HEALTHCARE ALLIANCE HOLDS ITS 11TH PLENARY SESSION

On November 30th, the French Healthcare Alliance (FHA) held with great success its 11th plenary meeting. This year’s edition was online gathering more than one hundred participants, to represent a wide range of health-related industries and companies, along with several healthcare key opinion leaders.

The French Ambassador in China opened the plenary session. The opening was followed by welcoming remarks by the three co-presidents of the FHA: Olivier DESSAJAN (GM at China Merchant Colisée), Romain JACQUET (Counsellor for Social and Medical Affairs at the French Embassy in Beijing, China), Pascal GONDRAND (Director at Business France China).

   

  

For this year’s plenary session, the French Healthcare Alliance invited 12 industry experts, including some members of the steering committee, to share their experiences and insights with the audience, for 1 presentation and 2 thematic round table discussions.

The first presentation focused on Chinese market trends and attractiveness, presented by Jean-Marc FENET, Minister Counsellor for Social Affairs at the French Embassy in Beijing, China.

It was followed by a panel discussion on the evolution of healthcare under the “Healthy China 2030” plan. Moderated by Romain JACQUET, it started with a presentation about the development of healthcare systems toward healthy China 2030 by Dr. HU Dan (Deputy-general secretary of Sino-French training center of healthcare professionals, National health commission), followed by a panel discussion with Olivier DESSAJAN, Philippe OBRY (Co-founder and General manager at Akila), Tom ROBERT (Global commercial operations director at Euris), Dr. Barry WANG (Business unit director of cardiometabolic at Servier China).

    

The second round table, moderated by Eric BOUTEILLER (Adjunct professor of management at CEIBS and Co-founder at Jumo Partners), was dedicated to a presentation by Eric SHAO (Vice president general manager of commercial solutions at IQVIA Greater China) about a review of Volume Based Procurement and prospects in pharma and other healthcare business. It concluded on a panel discussion with Philippe BARROUX (General Manager at Stago China), Vincent CHAN (General Manager at bioMerieux China), Helen ZHU (Head of public affairs and market access at Sanofi China).
